Monkey10102001's Rants & Raves Still working on the name thing. Have one that we think is the name, but we'll see if it sticks. I should be at work, But the hubby came home from work sick still. He hasn't been feeling well since Monday evening. Hopefully it will pass over soon. My sister-in-law is due next Saturday. She feels like she's going to pop soon. People at work think I'm going to pop soon, but I really don't think so. It's not up to me, though, is it?! My last day at work, if all goes well, will be May 15th. Then I'm off until mid-July if all works out. We shall see about that one. Well, that's it. Kids are great. Still working on the potty thing, but that takes time. Lots and lots of time. I'm hoping sooner rather than later. But the family is okay. Minus Dad. He's the sicko one. Current mood: Current music: Playhouse Disney shows and the dishwasher. thinking of names. Help us find one quick! Current mood: Got about two months to go... I feel big, but fear I will get bigger. I always feel towards the end that I'm ready to go and get a new chapter of my life going. On the other hand, I don't want to visit a NICU. Ever. Anyone know where I can get a full-time job? After leave of course. Current mood: Current music: disney and nick shows. My oldest has been playing with my phone and taking lots of pictures. Once I figure out how to get them from my phone onto here, I may post some. Current mood: So I guess Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Happy Inauguration Day is in order. I know both days are important, but does anyone actually celebrate them? I dunno. All I know is that I'm using these days off (not Tuesday, though. I work the day Obama is sworn in.) to clean my house. I must really be nesting... BABY! Duh... But, for those who do want to know, just let me know! Some folks don't, so I'm leaving it up to you! Not much, really. I am still pregnant. My oldest son still doesn't want to use the potty. My youngest son still gets into things after being told no. My husband still works a job that he hates. And yet, we still manage to do okay. The new year hasn't brought anything new, but so far it hasn't sucked yet. Optimism. Good to have. Current mood: Public Health concludes investigation of E. Coli in Dixon Solano County health officials announced Tuesday (Dec 23) that the public health investigation associated with the tragic death of a minor child in Dixon last week has been concluded. “We are deeply saddened by this loss and our hearts go out to the child’s family and friends,” said Dr. Chapman, MD, MPH, Health Officer and Deputy Director. Recent laboratory results indicate that a second minor who presented at the emergency room with symptoms of diarrhea did not have an E. coli infection. The water is clean and the food in restaurants is safe in Dixon. No local healthcare providers have reported any other case of E. coli infection. “We do not know how or why this child became infected with E. coli, but we do know that it was an isolated case and there is no threat to the public’s safety,” emphasized Dr. Chapman. For more information visit http://www.cdc.gov/, or www.solanocounty.com. Current mood: What we are doing is fine. Keep doing what we are doing. The fact that he is throwing up farther and father apart means that he is getting better. Give more Gatorade than water, since water has no calories, and he needs the calories. The stomach is a funny thing. Try out different foods. If he gets sick, don't do that food anymore for a while. Milk and dairy are the last to go back in his diet. Well, this is stuff we already knew. But, it does mean that Cinco is getting better, albeit very slowly. He only throws up once, and it is usually after he goes to bed, so I have sheets to wash in the morning. Jango throws up at night, too. I'll be happy when throwing up equals zero. On a lighter note, Richard has talked to Santa and let him know somw of the things both boys wanted for Christmas. We'll see if they get everything they wanted or not soon. Current mood: So the whole family got sick this week. Richard had a cold and then got the flu, I caught a little bit of what he had, and Cinco and Jango seem to just have a stomach virus. Either way, my home is a mess because instead of cleaning it, I've been cleaning up puke. Fun stuff. I just hope that Richard is well enough so I can go back to work tomorrow. Getting sick before the holidays suck. At least three out of the four of us feel better... Current mood: |
