A quick update for those who want to know

Still working on the name thing. Have one that we think is the name, but we'll see if it sticks.

I should be at work, But the hubby came home from work sick still. He hasn't been feeling well since Monday evening. Hopefully it will pass over soon.

My sister-in-law is due next Saturday. She feels like she's going to pop soon. People at work think I'm going to pop soon, but I really don't think so. It's not up to me, though, is it?!

My last day at work, if all goes well, will be May 15th. Then I'm off until mid-July if all works out. We shall see about that one.

Well, that's it. Kids are great. Still working on the potty thing, but that takes time. Lots and lots of time. I'm hoping sooner rather than later. But the family is okay. Minus Dad. He's the sicko one.

So I guess Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Happy Inauguration Day is in order. I know both days are important, but does anyone actually celebrate them? I dunno. All I know is that I'm using these days off (not Tuesday, though. I work the day Obama is sworn in.) to clean my house. I must really be nesting...

Hope you all enjoy your three day weekend if you have one!

So what does the doctor tell my husband when we took our oldest there yesterday?

What we are doing is fine. Keep doing what we are doing. The fact that he is throwing up farther and father apart means that he is getting better. Give more Gatorade than water, since water has no calories, and he needs the calories. The stomach is a funny thing. Try out different foods. If he gets sick, don't do that food anymore for a while. Milk and dairy are the last to go back in his diet.

Well, this is stuff we already knew. But, it does mean that Cinco is getting better, albeit very slowly. He only throws up once, and it is usually after he goes to bed, so I have sheets to wash in the morning. Jango throws up at night, too. I'll be happy when throwing up equals zero.

On a lighter note, Richard has talked to Santa and let him know somw of the things both boys wanted for Christmas. We'll see if they get everything they wanted or not soon.

So the whole family got sick this week. Richard had a cold and then got the flu, I caught a little bit of what he had, and Cinco and Jango seem to just have a stomach virus. Either way, my home is a mess because instead of cleaning it, I've been cleaning up puke. Fun stuff. I just hope that Richard is well enough so I can go back to work tomorrow. Getting sick before the holidays suck.

At least three out of the four of us feel better...

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was an interesting holiday. I got sick before we were even served dinner, and I didn't eat a whole plate of food this year like I normally do. This kiddo does not like certain things, I guess. After taking some medicine, both for my head and my asthma, I was doing a lot better.

The day after we went to Silbeyville tree farm to get a tree for Christmas. The kids saw Santa and he gave the kids a sleigh ride around the tree farm. We found a nice tree and it is partially decorated. We plan to do some more decorating tomorrow morning. We got an angel tree topper too. Then we went to the in-laws for leftovers, but I was made spaghetti by my father-in-law and Cinco. It was cute. I also had a piece of pizza. Unfortunately, as I was getting out of the car, my stomach and kiddo decided that that type of food was a no no, and i got sick for the second time in two days. I thought i would be over the nausea by now, but i guess not.

Well, I haven't gotten sick since, so i am doing better. Hope this lasts for a while.

I saw my dad yesterday with the headstone. Seemed like it finalized everything for me. Richard saw it and said he liked it and then he went back to the car to watch the kids. I said what I wanted to say, cried for a little bit, and then went back to the car. Going to a wedding made me realize that my dad can't walk my sister down the aisle. I guess I lucked out in that department. I actually thought about that the day before the wedding. It was my husband who thought about that on Sunday. Go figure.

My sister-in-laws wedding was beautiful. It had mostly good points. She married a great guy. Hope she'll be happy for a long time. I want to be an aunt, but no rush.

Well, I better go do some laundry.

a few days in a without feeling sick or close to it. My back hurts though.

And no, I am not pregnant. Thanks for asking. I'm hoping to find a doctor to help out with the mystery illness as well as allergy relief. I want to make sure I can use OTC meds.

More on the kids later and on my other blog. Rich is doing all right but wishes things were better. I echo the sentiment.

Work

Work is pretty interesting. You deal with many types of people, those who are responsible, and those who aren't. And this is how some are with their pets, I would hate to see if some of them have kids. But I digress. Every situation is different.

The most interesting so far is how certain agencies don't know their own jurisdictions, so they call us. This is why some people get frustrated. They get switched back and forth between agencies. We only deal with county situations, not city situations, and not wildlife. Some people are hilarious.

I am learning a lot in a short time span. I am full time for now, but in August I will go to part time, for which I was hired for. I'm hoping I learn everything by then and do well. We shall see.

So my two boys have gotten colds and have had them the last two days. No fun for me. And Richard hurt himself when he fell down the stairs with my oldest. He just sprained his ankle, but should stay off it the next few days before returning to work Saturday.

Oh, and I got a job! I will work at the animal shelter for the county as extra help. I should start Monday. Got to figure things out, but I am excited!

And the business is doing fairly well. I can't wait to open a contract and get going! We have done quite a few ads, and we have an ad on one of the buses here in town. We have also been allowed to supervise the rebuilding of the Wonder in Andrews Park coming in October and promote our business there too. Things are looking up for the company! Yay!

Well, that's it. Now to figure out what to eat for a late lunch.

Lots of them this month. Mine, my sister, my mom, Cara, Meagan, and I'm sure a few others whom I am forgetting but wish Happy Birthday nevertheless. My anniversary was also this month, as well as the independence of the nation I live in.

I think this month has been a crazy one. Lots going on with life in general. In a way, I hope the craziness continues. Being boring and monotonous sucks ass.

Happy Birthday to me!

Yay! And the financial issue that we had has been solved thanks to someone nice at Richard's work. So today I am going to eat lunch with my mom, sister, and brother to celebrate being two to the six. The kids are coming with me too. Unfortunately Richard has to work, so I going to pick him something up at the restaurant, which is going to most likely be Chili's.

In two days I will have been married for four years. Seems to me that I am doing fairly well. Now all I need is someone to hire me...

So, it is Father's Day, and the first one that I won't call the house and say it to you because you are not there. How weird is that! I want you to know I think about you every day, and that around your twenty-eigth anniversary, you should have a headstone where you currently and permanently rest. I love you, and I hope that you are sharing this day with your dad.

Okay, now to have a brief but necessary sad moment....
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

All right. And Happy Dad Day to all dads out there, past, present and future. Always appreciated and hopefully never ignored.

So here's the thing...

My husband passed his PPO license and in about a month, we will have a PPO license for the security business! That means we can do patrol work if requested. Now we just need to insure the business the required amount as dictated by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services and we for the most part should be all set! I run the phones Monday-Wednesday 1pm-7pm, and Thursday-Friday from 9am-6pm. I will be mainly the office manager-type person. I am so hoping that this takes off so we can make decent money, hire employees, and not have to worry about making ends meet anymore. Wish us luck!

Security office....

is officially open! I get to field calls today from 1-7pm. Richard has gotten his PPO testing stuff in the mail on Saturday, so all he needs to do is study a little bit, set up a test time and date, go test and pass, and pay for his PPO license. Then we can do private patrol like we want to. Hopefully we will get some good contracts, and then we can hire folks to help us out and use the money from the contracts to pay them and us of course. In case no one knows the name of the business, it is Extra Eyes Security Solutions. If you would like the number for the office and the fax, just ask.

I'm still here!

I haven't been living under a rock the last few weeks, but I have been like a hermit: I stay at home and watch a lot of television, especially One Tree Hill, thanks in large part to my sister getting me hooked on the show and having all the seasons. I am still looking for a job, so if anyone knows where I could get one, it would help out a lot. It would have to be part time right now. I hope that Richard's business will take off as soon as he gets his PPO license. But the website is up! I will post what that is at a later date, because honestly, I don't remember what it is! I did go out to one party about a week ago, and enjoyed myself. Well, that's about it. Sunday is Mother's Day, and I plan on telling my mom thanks for everything. She deserves it. All right. Hope to update again soon.
